Ona García participates at the Meeting Riva del Garda and Marçal Costa at the Copa de España Optimist class

Ona García was second in girls category at the Meeting Riva del Garda held in Italy and Marçal Costa, member of the Catalan Optimist team, finished 46th overall at the Copa de España held at CN Altea.

The sailor from Palamós, Ona García (CN Costa Brava-Vela Palamós) was one of the main protagonists at the 35 Meeting Riva di Garda, one of the largest sailing events in the World, with 1063 participants, held from 14 to 16 April in Italian waters, under the organisation of Fraglia Vela Riva.

García was the best Spanish Sailor in the Cadet Gold group (up to 11 years old), finishing sixth overall and second girl. The winner was Italian sailor Vittoria Arseni Maria from Circolo de la Vela di Roma, who was also the winner in her category. Núria Costa (CN Costa Brava-Vela Palamós) finishing 15th in the girls category and was 49th overall in the same group.

Marçal Costa finished 46th overall at the Copa de España Optimist Class

Marçal Costa (CN Costa Brava-Vela Palamós), member of the Catalan Optimist team, finished 46th overall at the Copa de España Optimist class, held from 13 to 16 April in CN Altea (Alicante). The overall winner was Mallorcan sailor Maria Perelló (CN S'Arenal) –fourth at the Palamós Optimist Trophy 2017-, who was joined on the podium by Samuel Beneyto from the Canary Islands and Yago Barca from Galicia.
